Title of the latest blog post, about this long 6

This is a sample post created to showcase the possibilities of blog posts.

I'll explain the different options and solutions in a lesson. Check out what I used so that if you need to write posts, it'll be easy for you.

Paragraph

This is a simple paragraph block. You'll use it a lot, it's the bulk of your article. Each paragraph is a new block, so when you press "Enter" you'll automatically jump to a new block. Feel free to try it out.

I've also written explanations for the different blocks in this doc, so that not only will the video and lesson descriptions help you, but you can also see right away what this editor is capable of when you test it live.

You can also use an initial for a „Paragraph” block. I don’t think you’ll need to do this often, but it’s an option, and it’s good to know it’s there.

You can also change the font size. This will apply to the entire block.

You can add color to your text and also to the background of the block itself.

You can also create links, where you can specify in the additional settings that your visitors should open the page in a new tab when they click on it. This is worth enabling.

Headline

Our next block is "Headings". It is important to know which level you use when, and how you break up your post. Logically break your article down into larger and then smaller parts.
Consistency is also important for search engine optimization. The main title of your post is „Headline 1”, so it’s a good idea to use „Headline 2” as the largest unit of your article. and from there go down if you need even smaller ones. I've never used anything smaller than 4.

You can also add a so-called „HTML anchor” to your headlines, which is great because it can you link to a specific point in a post. For example, if you give the HTML anchor of a headline „tossegzes” and you want someone to jump to this section immediately when clicking on a link, you take the link to the article and add a double-hash at the end and the anchor you specified earlier. For example: wpkurzus.hu/teszt-bejegyzes/#ossegzes. It is important to always enter the anchor text without accents, using hyphens, if you want to use one.
You can also customize the title blocks.

List

List items are completely simple. They can be precise and numbered.

  • This is a simple list.
  • Could be numbered too
  • But now it's just plain polka dots
    • You can move one level further in by dragging the list item.

Quotes

The next 2 blocks are quotes. The first one is a bit more boring, while the second one is the highlighted quote. You don't have to use it only for specific quotes, I also use it to highlight important parts of the text.

This is needed much more often.

If you quote, you can provide the author or source of the quote.

Their appearance will be determined by your template settings, but you can choose from 2 different styles for both.

You can also change the text color and background color of the highlighted quote.

Columns

Columns allow you to break up continuous text. You can put not only text elements in a column, but also any other block.

First column

Second column

Third column

Table

The table knows exactly what it's for. If you entered the wrong number of rows or columns at the beginning, you can easily adjust it in its settings.

You can also specify columns of equal width, which can often be useful.

You can choose from 2 styles, normal and striped.

Image

You can also upload an image directly from your computer. You can use the image block to choose where you want to upload it from.

When uploading, you can browse through the files on your computer. You can also use the media library if you want to add content that is already on your website. If you upload something from your computer, it will also appear in your media library.

You can also load an image from a web address, but I don't really recommend this because if something happens to it there, it won't work for you either, and you'll have broken links and images.

I won't post a picture here because I'm not sure it would load well for you, but definitely try it.

Other blocks

There are other blocks that we use, but I won't include them in this sample post. If you're interested, please include them. These are the more interesting ones:

  • Gallery
  • Youtube video
  • Spotify
  • Twitter
